ascii2binary software package provides Convert between ASCII, hexadecimal and binary representations, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install ascii2binary
ascii2binary is installed in your system.
Make ensure the ascii2binary package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep ascii2binary *
You will get with ascii2binary package name, version, architecture and description in a table
